Jerome Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) 'Compagnon', France c.1900 SOLD

Jerome Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) 'Compagnon', France c.1900 (FR016) SOLD

This cello was made by the Jerome Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) factory of Mirecourt, France around 1900. JTL catered to all levels of musician from student to serious orchestra player and used a range of labels to denote the quality of an instrument.

JTL cellos of this era are good, honest instruments that rarely disappoint in sound quality and projection, this one is no exception. It has had a neck reset along with a repair to the front at some point and there is general wear consistent with its age, but this is a good, authentic antique French cello in top working order at a very reasonable price.

The length of back is 750 mm. High resolution photos can be sent on request.
