It’s very hard to convey all an instrument’s features and foibles through digital media, it is certainly more preferable to try in person. We do, however offer the following services to help with selection:

• A video sound sample of each instrument

• High resolution photographs on request

• A virtual tour of the instrument through use of one of the following applications; Facetime, Zoom, Skype. We have found Zoom with the high fidelity feature turned on as the best to convey sound.

• A certificate with insurance valuation from an independent luthier is available for a nominal fee.

• A condition report from an independent luthier is available for a nominal fee.

• We have successfully transacted with customers whose first language is not English via a translation application.

• A commitment by us that the instruments shown on the website are fully representative of the instrument you purchase. We will endeavor to make you fully aware of all features and peculiarities

• A local cello instructor and retired symphony can offer independent advice about fit, sound and matching bow advice.
