German Antique Cello c. 1900 (GE015) - SOLD

This is a stunningly beautiful cello made in Germany circa 1900. It is exceptionally well made from top quality woods and is in great condition for its age, having only one minor rib crack repair. It is constructed with German precision and the flamed maple back and ribs, and lovely honey colored varnish make it simply gorgeous. It has recently undergone a full setup with new pegs, endpin, tailpiece and a premium Larson Magnacore strings having been fitted.

The sound is full, open, resonant and projecting, yet sweetly proud. It is powerful cello that is easy to play. Cellos of this age, quality, condition and price point are hard to find.
