This fine baroque cello was modeled after the Gore-Booth Stradivari and was made by a highly skilled contemporary English maker. The notable thing about this cello is that it is completely authentic in setup, shape of neck and internal bass bar, etc. This is rarely seen in a baroque cello these days, most are converted from a modern format. It is as Stradivari would have made it.

Warren Bailey was born in 1966 in Newbury, southern England.  His early career was in furniture making in London. He was encouraged to attend the prestigious Newark School of violin making by Philip Brown, a Newbury maker and dealer.

After graduation he worked as a restorer for Philip Brown and then moved to London to work for two of the most respected names in the violin making world; Florian Leonhard and J & A Beare before moving to Victoria, British Columbia in 2010 to work independently as a restorer for selected international clients. His restoration work is of the highest quality and his waiting list is long.
