French Antique Bow Late 19th C. (BF02) - $2,000 CDN

Probably made in Mirecourt, this is a lovely unbranded antique French cello bow in amazingly good condition. It is a made from nice brazilwood wood with silver-nickel mounts and varnished in an attractive deep red color. It has been cleaned & re-haired by a top local luthier who also applied new silver wire grip & thumb leather. He was amazed the bow was in such good condition given its age and thought that it had not been played much over its 100 plus years of life. It weighs 82g and is very nicely balanced. The bow comes with a certificate of authenticity and appraisal from a top restorer.
