A fine silver mounted pernambuco cello bow with a round stick and ebony frog by Brian Johnson of Regina, Canada. Weight: 80 grams.

Brian is a professional violinist, teacher and excellent bow-maker, he received his training in the craft under John Norwood Lee of Chicago.

A good bow starts with fine materials and this bow’s stick is made from a lovely piece of Brazilian pernambuco. Brian was fortunate to acquire the remaining stock of this prized wood from the workshop of master bow-maker Joseph Kun. This quality of tone wood is extremely hard to obtain these days.
